The Beginning

Girls, this post is list of my suggestions what to do before your Missionary leaves and after he leaves. I hope this post will become useful to you.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE HE LEAVES:
- Ask him what he would feel about if you decided to wait for him
- Encourage him to go to Mission Prep Classes (if there is a class)
- Encourage him to attend Temple Prep Classes (if there is a class)
- Encourage him to attend a Institute Class often
- Encourage him to attend the Temple often
- Spend heaps of time with him
- Stay in contact with him a lot
- Tell him how you are feeling

WHAT TO DO AFTER HE LEAVES:
- Build a close relationship with his immediate family members (if you aren't already)

- Send him items that will be useful during his mission (such as journals, pens)

- Write letters to him (share encouraging quotes and spiritual experiences)

- Email him with weekly updates (always encouraging and uplifting)

- Spoil him with packages (for Birthday, Christmas Day, etc)
