If your Missionary hasn't reached 1 year mark, that's okay. What do you think of when I say 1 Year, What's Next? What things would help you to achieve your Missionary's 1 year mark?
I have been noticing some girls's Missionaries has been reaching their 1 year mark and the girls wasn't sure of what to do next. This post would help you either ahead of time or would help you now.
If you can't see the Image, it says "1 Year = 12 Months, 52 Weeks, 365 Days 8750 Hours, 525,600 Minutes and 31,536,000 Seconds."
My words of advice is to continue to keep yourself busy and distract by doing things that will distract you of not thinking about the wait. There are many ways to keep yourself busy, I will be listing some of those ideas below and after that, I will be sharing with you 3 of my experiences of how it has helped me to become to realise time is going fast and what did it taught me.
- Continue attending either Young Women's Activities or Young Single Adults Activities
- Continue doing Education Studies, either it will be School, or College or University
- Spiritual Uplifting: Mission Prep, or Temple Work or Missionary Work or Institute or Seminary
- Try learning a new Culture, learn the Language (if it is a new language)
- Make new Goals, and make sure it's achievable goals
My Experiences:
Getting Close to his Family: I introduced myself of who I was and how I knew a guy friend to his Mum through the first email to her on the same day that my Missionary has left. She has accepted me into the Family since that day. I didn't have his Mission Email and she wasn't sure if she should give me the Mission Email or the Mission Home Address or both. So it took awhile until she got back to me with his Mission Email, but in the meantime she was emailing me with updates of what my Missionary mentioned to her through email. I always was filled with joy.
I took the next step and adding her on Facebook. She accepted and we both have been talking to each other through emails and messaging ever since the day that guy friend left. Within the next 5 Months, that friend's sisters and a few of his friends has added me on Facebook and I was surprised.
Spiritual Uplifting: I have been going to the Temple twice a month, I have been going to Mission Preparation and I have been trying to go with the Ward Missionaries for teaching Investigators, Less Actives and Inactive. I have been aiming to go to Institute more. It is great to focus on the Lord's work because it helps me to gain my confidence to feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost more and it helps for me to receive Personal Revelation.
Young Single Adult Activities: I was able to make heaps of new friends each time I go to Young Single Adult Activities and Activities can be such as Service Projects, Dances, etc! I always love making new friends and it's so much fun of getting to know other people. It's so wonderful!
Stay Tuned.
